Sandymoor Top Up

It has been decided that due to the number of Cormorants visiting Sandymoor earlier in the year we should top up the fish population with 5000 F1's from 3 to 4 inches and because we now have the new aerators working the E.A have given us permission to introduce 100 Barbel to about 6 inches as a trial to see if they can survive for any period of time. As for the Cormorants, you may have seen what we are hoping will be their new deterrent, the poles with the cords and the coloured balls. Lets hope they do their job.

The New Bridge

The new bridge was completed just over a month ago when it got it's final coat of paint and we are hoping it will stand for longer than the wooden one which was put in place at the beginning of the eighties. Feed back from the members would appear to be very positive because for some 'It saves that long walk round when you only want to get to the other side of the bridge'. Thanks must be given to the lads who gave thier time up each day during the construction, in particular Head Bailiff Jimmy Gaynor and committe members Jimmy Hackney and Joe Shaw. If there was anybody else that I don't know of, I hope that Jimmy would thank them on our behalf.
